Polyamide or Polyester film for Mooney Viscosity Tests
Gibitre Instruments tins provide 500 polyester sheets (100 × 100 mm, 23 µm) engineered for the test chambers of your measuring instruments and lab tools. Their function is to create a clean barrier between specimen and chamber, protecting contact surfaces without influencing measurement results. Available with or without a central hole to suit both test positions: the solid foil sits between the upper specimen and upper chamber; the perforated foil mounts on the rotor stem between the lower specimen and lower chamber.
Why choose them: they enable repeated testing of materials while preserving chambers and ensuring consistent measurement performance. The 500-piece packaging streamlines laboratory handling and guarantees immediate availability during testing sessions.
Important note: do not place the film between specimen and rotor, as this will compromise the measurement and invalidate results. A practical solution to protect your equipment and keep test data dependable.
Boxes of Polyester Folis for Mooney Test
Gibitre Instruments supplies boxes containing 500 polyester sheets with a size of 100x100 mm and a thickness of 23 microns.
The boxes are available with sheets with or without a central hole.
The sheet without central hole must be positioned between the upper specimen and the upper test chamber.
The sheet with the hole must be fitted on the rotor shaft between the lower specimen and the lower test chamber.
Use of Film for Mooney Test
The film is intended to protect the test chambers from contact with the specimen and does not alter the test results.
The sheet without central hole must be positioned between the upper specimen and the upper test chamber.
The sheet with the hole must be fitted on the rotor shaft between the lower specimen and the lower test chamber.
Note: the film must not be used between the specimen and the rotor because it completely alters the test results.
